Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) Determination of relative density

Abstract: 测定聚合氯化铝(PAC)相对密度的步骤包括:首先,将一定质量的PAC样品放入已知体积的烘干瓶中并记录重量;接着,使用干燥的苯酚标准液填充烘干瓶,确保气泡完全排出。然后,将烘干瓶放入20℃的水浴中保持30分钟,并用抹布擦干瓶外水分。再用天平称重,记录瓶加溶液的总重量。根据苯酚标准液的密度和温度,计算溶液的密度。最后,通过用密度减去空气密度,并结合烘干瓶体积,计算PAC的相对密度。注意,此方法适用于固体PAC样品的相对密度测定,液态PAC样品需使用其他测定方法。

The method for determining the relative density of polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is as follows:

  1. Take a certain quality polyaluminum chloride sample, put it into a drying bottle of known volume, and record the weight of the drying bottle;

  2. Use dry phenol standard solution to inject the solution from the top of the drying bottle to completely discharge the air bubbles in the drying bottle;

  3. Put the drying bottle into a Water Bath with a temperature of 20°C, keep it for 30 minutes, and then wipe off the moisture outside the drying bottle with a rag;

  4. Weigh with a balance, and record the total weight of the drying bottle plus the solution;

  5. Calculate the density of the solution according to the density and temperature of the phenol standard solution used;

  6. According to the volume of the drying bottle, the relative density of polyaluminum chloride can be calculated by subtracting the air density from the density.
