Paper and paperboard - Determination of titanium dioxide content

Abstract: 纸和纸板中二氧化钛含量的测定可以采用比色法、X射线荧光光谱法或原子吸收光谱法。比色法通过将二氧化钛还原并与邻苯二酚反应生成有色化合物,测定其吸光度以计算含量。X射线荧光光谱法利用X射线荧光分析仪检测样品中二氧化钛的特征X射线强度来确定其含量。原子吸收光谱法则将二氧化钛还原为钛离子,并通过测量其吸收峰的强度来计算含量。这些方法均可在实验室中使用常规设备和试剂进行有效测定。

The content of titanium dioxide in paper and board can be determined by the following methods:

  1. Colorimetric method: reduce the titanium dioxide in the sample with a reducing agent, and then react the reduced titanium dioxide with catechol to generate a blue compound with an absorption peak, and calculate the content of titanium dioxide by measuring the absorbance by colorimetry.

  2. X-ray fluorescence spectrometry: The characteristic X-ray of titanium dioxide in the sample is detected by an X-ray fluorescence analyzer, and the content of titanium dioxide is calculated according to its intensity.

  3. Atomic absorption spectrometry: reduce the titanium dioxide in the sample to titanium ions, then use an atomic absorption spectrometer to detect the content of titanium ions, and calculate the content of titanium dioxide according to the intensity of its absorption peak.

These methods can be determined in the laboratory using conventional equipment and reagents.
