Gloss meter is widely used in furniture paint gloss test. Measuring the gloss of furniture can help determine the quality and appearance of furniture surfaces.

The glossiness of furniture refers to the reflective ability of its surface, that is, the degree of brightness of the surface. If the glossiness of the furniture surface is uneven or does not meet the requirements, it will lead to incongruous surface color and insufficient light reflected from the surface, which will affect the appearance and quality of the furniture. Therefore, measuring the gloss of furniture can check the uniformity and quality of the furniture surface, ensure that the furniture meets the requirements, and improve the appearance and quality of the furniture. In addition, gloss is also an important indicator of furniture surface treatment process. For some furniture treated with special processes, such as mirror surface treatment and high-gloss treatment, it is more necessary to measure the influence of gloss.

Here are the steps to measure it:
Preparation: Make a sample board by applying furniture paint to a flat, dry board. At the same time, calibrate the gloss meter to make sure it is working properly.
Place the measuring head of the gloss meter vertically on the sample plate so that it is parallel to the surface of the sample plate.
Turn on the gloss meter and set it to the corresponding measurement mode, usually 60-degree angle mode, to measure the glossiness of the furniture paint surface.
Press the measurement key on the gloss meter, the measuring head will automatically scan the surface of the sample and measure its gloss.
Wait for the measurement to appear and record the gloss value.
For measurements on multiple sample plates, repeat the above steps.
NBCHAO reminds you: In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results, you should avoid touching the surface of the sample plate before the gloss measurement, so as not to affect its gloss. At the same time, in the measurement between multiple sample plates, care should be taken to clean the measuring head of the gloss meter to avoid contamination between different samples
