Therefore, our coating products have been greatly improved in terms of quality and appearance.
We all know that among all the functions of paint, the decorative function is a very important one. For example, the exterior walls of many buildings are decorated with colored paints to form their favorite spaces. However, the colors seen by human naked eyes are still different. Through the Colorimeter, everyone has a quantifiable scientific basis.
So, how is it applied in the actual production of coatings?
Because the color of the pigment is actually different from the finished product, the paint factory disperses various color pigments in the resin system used, and makes a standard model through color matching. After the client approves, adjustments are made according to the sample data, and different sample databases are established through the computer.
The second is color matching. In the early stage, various pigments are used to make standard color samples. After the database is established, automatic color matching is performed based on the color sample data, and diversification is provided for us to choose. When matching paint, we all know that gloss and surface credentials affect the appearance of color difference to a certain extent. Rough surfaces have large scattering, less reflection and absorption, and lower gloss. In actual production, Colorimeters are very sensitive to black and white gloss. Metallic pigments and pearlescent pigments have long been used in automotive paints, aluminum alloy exterior walls, etc. due to their outstanding appearance effects. This type of color difference cannot be measured with ordinary color difference meters. Eyes, better solve this problem. This is more commonly used in the automotive industry.
Usually what we call a Colorimeter is an ordinary portable Colorimeter. Economical and easy to carry, its advantage when measuring anytime and anywhere. And with the development of technology, this kind of Colorimeter has been very stable. In paint application, it has been used very commonly. More qualified factories are equipped with Colorimeters. As for the more economical Color Charts, they are only used in some fields that do not require high colors.
