Liquid resistance, what is liquid resistance?

The liquid resistance of the paint film refers to the stability of the paint film when it comes into contact with various liquids (water, solvents, beverages, acids, alkali salts and other chemicals, etc.), including water resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, solvent resistance, etc. For paints with poor liquid resistance, when the paint film contacts the liquid, it may lose light, change color, bubble, wrinkle, whiten, mark, etc. If the paint film is in contact with the liquid, there should be no change or slight change.

All kinds of wood products have the opportunity to contact various liquids during use, so the paint film is required to have good liquid resistance. According to the national standard "Furniture paint film liquid resistance measurement method", the filter paper soaked in various test solutions (the standard stipulates sodium chloride, sodium carbonate, acetic acid, ethanol, detergent, soy sauce, blue and black ink, red ink, iodine, toilet water, tea, coffee, sweetened condensed milk, soybean oil, distilled water and other 15 kinds of liquids) is placed on the surface of the sample, removed after a specified time, and rated according to the damage degree of the paint film.
