Color Determination of Pigments According to Standard Grades

In order to standardize the color scale of the pigment color and to determine the specific index items for adjusting the pigment according to the color, 3 standard grades have been formulated for white and some colored inorganic pigments (yellow ochre, Prussian red and ultramarine blue).

White standard The white standard ("0CT1 125-41) is made of chemically pure silver sulfate and colored pigments (carbon black, yellow ochre) mixed with glue, including 21 color samples. A set of standards Huai. With the different shades, the standard grades of self-color can be divided into three categories: (related instruments: Color Chart)

A - this kind of shade with western color;

B——this type has a light grayish-yellow shade;

B - This category has a positive yellow shade.

Each category consists of seven color samples marked with sequential numbers, which can be used to determine the whiteness of pigments.

The whiteness (total reflection coefficient) of each color sample should be combined with the values listed in Table 2 (percentage of white color).
