How to calibrate the Drying Oven?

A Forced Air Drying Oven is a laboratory oven designed to quickly and efficiently dry or solidify materials using forced air circulation. Forced Air Drying Ovens typically use a high-powered fan or blower to circulate hot air around the material being dried, which helps speed up the drying process and ensure uniform heating. Forced Air Drying Ovens are commonly used in a variety of industries, including R & D, manufacturing, and quality control, for a range of applications such as drying and curing coatings, adhesives, and polymers, as well as sterilizing laboratory equipment and materials.

Calibration method

Calibration of the blast oven includes verifying and adjusting the temperature control to ensure that the oven maintains a consistent and accurate temperature.

The following is the general procedure for calibrating a Forced Air Drying Oven:

Prepare a set of calibrated temperature sensors, such as thermocouples or RTDs, that can be used to measure the temperature inside the Drying Oven.

Place temperature sensors in different locations within the Drying Oven to ensure that the temperature range over which the oven is expected to operate is covered.

Open the blast oven and set the temperature to a known value within the temperature range to be tested.

Let the Drying Oven reach the set temperature and stabilize for at least 30 minutes.

Measure the temperature of each location in the Forced Air Drying Oven using a calibrated temperature sensor, recording the temperature of each location and the time of measurement.

Compare the measured temperature to the set temperature and calculate any differences or deviations.

If the temperature measurement is within the acceptable range of the set temperature, the oven is considered calibrated and available for its intended purpose.

If the temperature measurement deviates significantly from the set temperature, it may be necessary to adjust the temperature control of the Forced Air Drying Oven to ensure a consistent and accurate temperature.

This process is repeated at several different temperatures within the temperature range in which the Forced Air Drying Oven is expected to operate to ensure that the Forced Air Drying Oven is calibrated over its entire temperature range.

North-South Tide reminds you: The specific calibration procedure for a Forced Air Drying Oven may vary depending on the make and model of the Forced Air Drying Oven and the requirements of any relevant industry standards or regulations. Therefore, be sure to consult the manufacturer's instructions or relevant standards before attempting to calibrate a Forced Air Drying Oven.
