3. Determination method

  • Suitable for the determination of general coatings.

  • Glass culture dishes, flat-bottomed discs or Glass watchglass and other utensils.

  • Weigh and place in a vessel, making sure the sample is evenly dispersed.

  • Place the vessel in a preheated oven for a period of time to allow the sample to dry.

  • Remove the vessel from the oven, chill down and weigh to calculate the Non-volatile content.

  • Measuring the weight and volume of the unpainted discs.

  • Measurement of the weight and volume of the painted wafer after drying at a certain temperature and time.

4. Results presentation and reference standards
