Application of Film Applicator in BOPP Coating

As an important coating equipment, the film coating machine plays a key role in the production of BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene film). This article will discuss the material property changes during the BOPP coating process, especially the performance research on BOPP-AR (acrylic resin) composite materials, and introduce the application of film coating machines in the coating process.

1. Surface morphology of BOPP-AR composite materials

There may be surface cracks in BOPP-AR composite materials. This is mainly due to the fact that the ARs are close to each other during the evaporation of water. Due to the different shrinkage forces with the BOPP surface, internal stress is generated inside the AR and cracks appear on the surface. To solve this problem, T-CNP (nanocellulose) was introduced as an additive. It was observed that the cracks disappeared and the surface was smooth, indicating that the addition of T-CNP improved the surface morphology.

2. Research on the performance and mechanism of composite materials

Through research on the BOPP-T-MCC/AR composite material, it was found that the surface of the composite material was closely combined with the T-MCC/AR composite material after corona treatment. Observation of the cross-sectional view shows that during the evaporation of water in the composite material, AR molecules and T-MCC are close to each other, forming a relatively dense and uniform film, which increases the surface energy.

3. Application of film coating machine in coating process
