1. Reference standards and scope of application

JFL-B60° Gloss Meter is a high-precision, miniaturized gloss meter manufactured in accordance with the ISO-2813 standard. It is suitable for measuring the specular gloss of coatings, paints, inks, plastics, stones, floors, and wooden furniture surfaces.

2. Instrument technical indicators

The indicators of the instrument conform to the JJG 696 first-class gloss meter standard of the national metrology verification regulations.

1. Display range: 0.0-199.9 gloss units (GS)

2. Indication error: < 1.2 gloss units (GS)

3. Stability: 0.4(GS)/30 minutes

3. How to use the instrument

Press the switch, put the instrument on the black glass standard plate, and turn the adjusting knob to make the displayed value the same as the nominal value of the standard plate. Then the instrument is placed on the white ceramic standard plate, and the error between the displayed value and the nominal value of the white ceramic standard plate should not be greater than ±1.2 gloss units, otherwise, problems such as the standard plate being dirty should be considered. This process does not need to be done every time. When the error is out of tolerance, recalibrate according to the above method. After calibration, the sample can be measured. When the measured value exceeds 199.9 gloss units, the display will overflow "1".

Four, pay attention

This instrument uses one AA alkaline battery, unscrew the battery cover counterclockwise, remove the positive plate of the battery, put the negative pole of the battery into the battery box, the positive pole faces the direction of the battery cover (see the shell icon), and the positive pole is on the positive pole , screw the battery cover clockwise, please do not install it backwards. When the under-power sign "←" is displayed, the battery should be replaced in time.
