The reflectance meter is mainly used for the measurement of the hiding power of white and light-colored paints, and is also commonly used for the comparison test of paints and colored paints. C84-III type reflectance measuring instrument complies with international standards ISO 3905, ISO 3906, Chinese standards GB/T 13452, GB 9270, GB 5211.
The instrument consists of a probe, a host, a standard board (one black and one black), and a working ceramic board (two black and white boards).
The probe adopts the principle of 0° irradiation and 45° reception. When the reflected light of the sample acts on the surface of the photocell, an electrical signal is input to the DC amplifier for amplification, and the reading is displayed (see the schematic diagram of the optical circuit for details).
The indication value of C84-III reflectance meter is directly proportional to the light intensity reflected by the tested surface.

1. Indication range:0~100
2. Display accuracy:0.1
3. Use power supply:220V 50Hz
1. Connect the probe to the electric control box and turn on the power. Put the probe on the black standard board and turn it on to warm up for 3 minutes. When connecting, it should be noted that the groove on the plug should be aligned with the protrusion on the socket of the electric control box. When unplugging, hold the plug, pull the metal sliding sleeve of the plug back, and then pull out the plug. Never pull it directly. wire.
2. Zero calibration: put the probe on the black standard board, adjust the "zero adjustment" knob of the main unit, so that the digital display of the main unit is 00.0.
3. Calibrate the standard value: put the probe on the white standard board, adjust the "full adjustment" knob of the main unit, so that the value displayed on the main unit is consistent with the calibration value of the white standard board. A variation of 0.1 is allowed. Repeat the adjustment once (zero adjustment, full adjustment).
4. Measure the RB value: move the probe to the black working ceramic plate with the sample, and the value displayed on the display is the RB value.
5. Measure the Rw value: move the probe to the white working ceramic plate with the sample, and the value displayed on the monitor is the Rw value.
6. Calculate and obtain the covering rate RB/Rw value.
1. In order to ensure the measurement accuracy, the measurement environment temperature should be close to 25°C, and the instrument should be calibrated frequently.
2. In order to overcome the light fatigue phenomenon of the photocell, the probe should be placed on the black standard board during the test interval. Reduce the plugging and unplugging of the plug, so as not to damage the plug and cause poor contact.
3. The white standard plate should be kept away from pollution, otherwise it will affect the measurement readings.
4. If there is any stain on the white standard board, it can be removed with a high-grade drawing eraser.
5. The preparation of the sample should be carried out in accordance with the relevant national standards.
1. Use and maintenance:
This instrument adopts a highly sensitive photoelectric conversion device. When using it, it is necessary to ensure that the illumination part and the circuit part of the instrument are not affected by the external environment. Dust or water vapor adsorbed on the light-transmitting glass in the probe will affect the measurement readings, and should be wiped off in time with a lens cleaning cloth. Black and white standard plates should be wiped clean before each use. If there is corrosive gas in the environment, the photoelectric components in the instrument will be damaged.
Even better, the probe can be stored in a dry container when not in use.
2. Troubleshooting:

The reflectance measuring instrument is a special instrument. When a fault cannot be eliminated, it should be delivered to the instrument maintenance personnel or contact the instrument manufacturer, and it must not be dismantled or repaired at will.
3. The instrument should be sent for inspection regularly to ensure the accuracy of use (recommended once a year).
