Film impact resistance - Paint film impact meter

Determination of impact resistance of paint film - paint film impact meter with Figure 1Test method for impact resistance of paint film (GB/T1732-93) This standard specifies the test method for the impact resistance of paint film represented by the maximum height (om) at which a weight of fixed mass falls on the test plate without causing damage to the paint film .

This standard applies to the determination of the impact resistance of paint films.

(1) Instruments and equipment

①4x magnifying glass.

②Impact Tester: as shown in Figure 10.14.

③ Calibrate the metal and metal sheets used in the impact Tester.

④ Calibration of the impact Tester: unscrew the sliding cylinder, put a 3mm thick metal ring on the upper end of the punch, place a piece of 1mm±0.05mm thick metal sheet flat on the surface of the anvil, and use a smooth object from the punch Press down the upper part of the head to adjust the screw amplitude. Make the upper end of the punch level with the metal ring, and the steel ball at the lower end is just in contact with the metal sheet, so the depth of the punch entering the anvil is 2mm±0.1mm.

The surface of the steel ball needs to be clean and smooth. If it is found to be not smooth or smooth, the steel ball should be replaced.

⑤Material and size: Unless otherwise specified or agreed, the test plate is a tinplate plate, which shall meet the technical requirements of GB/T9271, and the thin steel plate with a size of 50mmx120mmx0.3mm shall meet the technical requirements of GB708, with a size of 65mmx150mmx (0.45~0.55) mm (for testing the impact resistance of putty).

(2) Test steps

①Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be carried out under the conditions of 23°C±3°C and relative humidity of 50%±5%.

② Put the coating sample on the anvil with the paint film facing upwards. The distance from the impacted part of the test plate to the edge shall not be less than 15mm, and the distance between the edges of each impact point shall not be less than 15mm. At a certain height (the height is stipulated or agreed by the product standard), press the control button, and the weight will fall freely on the punch. Lift the weight and take out the test panel.

Record the height at which the weight falls on the test plate.

Conduct three impact tests on the same test panel, observe with a magnifying glass of 4 times, and judge whether there are patterns, wrinkles and peeling off of the new paint film.
