Printing ink dry inspection method - dry instrument method

1. Inspection principle

Inks that are mainly dried by oxidative conjunctiva can generally be measured by this method, but because the ink is scraped (or printed) on paper for measurement, the influence of the through-drying time cannot actually be ruled out.

On the scraping sample with quantitative drying oil, under certain pressure conditions, the time required to prevent the sulfuric acid paper covering the scraping sample from being stained is the drying time of the ink, expressed in hours, and the test is carried out under the standard sample and sample comparison conditions next.

2. Tools and materials

3. Inspection method

(1) The test should be carried out at a temperature of 25±1°C and a relative humidity of 60~70%.

(2) Weigh the sample and standard whitening oil on the analytical balance according to the following proportions, mix thoroughly, and weigh the standard and standard whitening oil in the same way and mix thoroughly. The ratio of ink sample to dry oil: resin ink sample (or standard sample) to standard white dry oil is 95:5; oil ink sample (or standard sample) to standard white dry oil is 90:10.

(3) Scrape the well-mixed ink standard sample and sample side by side into a scraping sample about 30 cm long, record the time immediately, cover the sulfuric acid paper and wrap it on the cylinder of the automatic drying test machine, and clamp the paper with a strip.

(4) Move the pressure wheel with a weight of 100 grams to the left of the screw rod, press it on the scraping sample covered with sulfuric acid paper, turn on the power, and set the speed regulator at 10 minutes per rotation as required. position, turn on the button, and the cylinder will start to rotate at this time, and the pressure wheel will start to draw the line, and move slowly to the left to make the pressure wheel complete the required time.

(5) Check the sulfuric acid paper that has been rolled by the pressure wheel. If there is no ink trace, it means that the ink has dried. Calculate the difference between the sample and the standard drying time to see if it meets the standard.

4. Precautions

(1) The dryness test should be done immediately for the oiled ink.

(2) The test shall not be interrupted.
