Some main factors affecting the aging performance of coil coatings were studied by QUV-B (313 lamp) test, including the type of base resin, the type of acid monomer in polyester resin such as UV absorbing agent) effects.

Precoated coil coatings are economical and environmentally friendly, and meet the needs of today's social and economic development, so they are used more and more widely. With the continuous advancement of technology, its application fields have been extended to home appliances, decoration, furniture, etc., but its main application field is still the construction industry, and a large number of them are exterior coils, which require durable aesthetic decoration and protection performance.
The industry usually adopts exposure test, namely artificial accelerated weathering test (xenon lamp aging , UVA, UVB exposure test) or natural exposure test method to investigate the durability of the coating. In this paper , the influence factors of base resin, pigment and additives on the aging performance of coil coatings were studied by artificial accelerated weathering test method (QUV-B) .
