Cleanospector Oil Cleaner Application Case

The case of this article is taken from: Pine (Shiyan) Automotive Air Conditioning Co., Ltd.

Instrument introduction:

The Cleanospector oil cleanliness meter developed by SITA in Germany is currently the only instrument in the world that can quantify the cleanliness of metal, ceramic, and glass surfaces. The SITA Cleanospector oil cleanliness instrument quantitatively detects organic pollutants such as oil, grease and wax on metals, ceramics and glass by fluorescence excitation method. One of the main reasons for the effect of welding and glue, monitor the cleanliness of the workpiece after cleaning through the SITA Cleanospector oil cleanliness instrument, and establish cleanliness standards, which can avoid welding desoldering, air holes and poor adhesion of glue caused by excessive oil residue problem, greatly improving the welding rate.

SITA CleanoSpector has two options for presentation of measurement results. The first Cleanliness mode, measuring the cleanliness value displayed by the instrument as a percentage. A cleanliness value of 100% indicates an absolutely clean and non-fluorescent surface. In the second Fluolevel mode, the measuring instrument uses the RFU value (Relative Fluorescence Units) to indicate the level of cleanliness. RFU is the relative fluorescence intensity value. The larger the RFU value, the higher the residual pollutant content on the surface of the part.

Customer background:

The blank (pictured below) is cleaned by the supplier, welded and assembled by Pine. Due to the large number of suppliers and the uneven cleaning quality, the welding rate of the brazing in the subsequent process is not high, and rework and scrapping occur from time to time, and the cost is very high. The current inspection method for incoming materials is to smear with a dyne pen to see how it spreads. If the surface tension liquid spreads evenly on the substrate, the cleanliness is considered good, and if it cannot be spread, the cleanliness is considered poor. The cleanliness of the dyne pen test cannot be qualitative, and the cleanliness results of the same dyne pen may vary greatly due to the different surface roughness or material of the substrate, so this method cannot be used as an effective quality inspection method for incoming materials.

The customer wants to use SITA Cleanospector as a means of quality inspection of incoming materials, output quantitative standards, stabilize the cleanliness of incoming materials, and improve the first-time welding rate of NB furnaces.

Testing process:

分析:

分析:

1. 由供货商提供的样品清洁度高于派恩自洗的样品,且不同样品清洁度很不均一。造成此现象可能因为供货商未清洗干净和在包装、储藏、运输过程中受到二次污染。

2. 经由派恩清洗后,清洁度明显改善,且无清洗剂残留。

分析:

1.供货商样品清洁度远差于派恩自洗样品。其外侧荧光水平远高于内侧,说明供货商样品受到较严重的二次污染。

分析:

1.       达因笔在清洁度好的环形座样品上铺展不良,反而在清洁度略差的边板样品上铺展良好,可见达因笔会因底材表面粗糙度或材质的不同,在相似清洁度下出现不同甚至相反的铺展情况。

结论:

1.       SITA Cleanospector表面清洁度仪可以检测部件上的污染物如油、脂、蜡等,并将清洁度结果显示出来。

2.       SITA Cleanospector表面清洁度仪可避免不同金属底材的表面粗糙度或材质的差异,直接反映部件的清洁程度,量化输出结果,通过建立数据库后,生成来料检测标准,稳定来料质量。

3.    零部件的清洁度可以由SITA CleanoSpector快速检测并记录。基于此数据,可以审查生产步骤和清洗程序,进而优化清洗进程。
