Feng Haibing and other scholars from the Glass Institute of CHINA Academy of Building Materials Science introduced the preparation of organic/inorganic wear-resistant coatings to study their coating properties in their paper "The Effect of Heat Treatment on the Properties of Transparent Wear-resistant Organic/Inorganic Composite Coatings" In the experiment, the organic/inorganic wear-resistant coating was prepared on the surface of PMMA by using the sol-gel method combined with the leveling method by using organosiloxane as the precursor, and the effects of heat treatment temperature and time on the hardness and scratch resistance of the coating were studied. and wear resistance, using Taber 5151 wear Tester, light transmittance/haze Tester, pencil method and other means to analyze and characterize the performance of the coating.

The experimental results show that the light transmission performance of the optical plastic remains good after coating; as the heat treatment temperature increases and the heat treatment time prolongs, the pencil hardness, scratch resistance and wear resistance of the coating surface are greatly improved.
