Working principle and classification of high shear Mulser

The working principle of the high-shear emulsifier is that under the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotating rotor, the material is sucked into the working chamber axially from the upper and lower feeding areas of the head. The weak centrifugal force throws the material from the radial direction into the narrow and fine gap between the stator and the rotor, and is subjected to comprehensive effects such as strong mechanical and hydraulic shearing, centrifugal extrusion, liquid layer friction, impact tearing and turbulent flow. The material starts to be emulsified by centrifugal impact, shearing and other force between the stator and the rotor. The high-shear emulsifier makes the material more delicate through the high-speed rotation of the homogenizing head connected to the engine, and promotes the blending of oil and water. The material is continuously ejected from the radial direction at high speed, and the flow direction is changed under the resistance of the material itself and the container wall. At the same time, under the effect of the upper and lower axial suction forces generated in the rotor area, two strong upper and lower streams are formed. Flip turbulence. The material passes through several cycles, and finally completes the process of dispersion, emulsification and homogenization.

The classification of high shear emulsifier can be divided into the following categories:

High-shear emulsifier: The material is sheared at high speed by the shearing force generated by the high-speed rotation of the stator and the rotor.

High-shear dispersing emulsifier: It can disperse the material while shearing the material at high speed.

High-shear mixing emulsifier: Stir and mix the material while shearing the material.

Emulsifying machine and homogenizing machine: it can emulsify the material and homogenize it at the same time.

Mobile emulsifying machine: Mainly according to the needs of some factories, the emulsifying machine is equipped with a mobile lifting frame, and customers can move and lift the emulsifying machine according to their own needs.

Selection of high shear emulsifier stator:

Long hole stator head: suitable for rapid crushing of medium solid particles and mixing of medium viscosity liquids, long holes provide the largest area and good circulation for surface shearing.

Mesh stator head: suitable for mixing low-viscosity liquids, with the largest shear rate, most suitable for the preparation of emulsions and the pulverization and dissolution of small particles in liquids.

Round hole stator head: suitable for general mixing or crushing of large particles, the original shape opening on this stator head provides good circulation in all stators, suitable for handling materials with higher viscosity.
