The article "Testing the Main Performance of Digital Ultrasonic Flaw Detector" mainly compares and analyzes the detection performance of digital ultrasonic flaw Detector (taking HS600 as an example) and old-fashioned flaw Detector, from the main performance of digital technology, the main performance of the instrument, The main comprehensive performance of the instrument and the probe is analyzed in three aspects. Among them, the main performance of digital technology includes scanning speed and sampling frequency; the main performance of instruments includes horizontal linearity, vertical linearity, and dynamic range; the main comprehensive performance of instruments and probes includes blind zone, resolution, and sensitivity margin.

Through comparative analysis of experiments, the following three conclusions were drawn:

1) The parameter determination of the digital ultrasonic flaw Detector is more convenient. Some data of the old-fashioned equipment are estimated readings, and the calculation data of the digital flaw Detector are all direct readings.

2) The parameters of the digital ultrasonic flaw Detector are improved compared with the old-fashioned analog machine. It can be said that its performance is obviously better than that of the old-fashioned machine, and the positioning and quantification of defects is more accurate.

3) The HS600 digital ultrasonic flaw Detector used in the test meets the requirements of JJG746-2004 "Appraisal Regulations for Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors".
