At present, the determination of the adhesion of wood furniture paint film generally adopts two kinds of cross-hatch method and peeling test method.
The standards, main principles, operation methods, instruments and equipment used and results presentation methods of these two methods are shown in Table 1.
The two methods in Table 1 can be used to measure the adhesion of paint film on the surface of wooden furniture. The adhesion of paint film measured by the cross-hatch method is not pure adhesion, but also includes the deformation and resistance of the paint film when it is destroyed. Operation is quick and easy. The results of the pull-off method to measure the adhesion of the paint film can be expressed by specific data, but the test process is more complicated, and the test can only be carried out after the adhesive is completely cured, and the bonding strength of the adhesive is greater than that of the paint film. At present, the cross-cut method is widely used to measure the adhesion of wood furniture paint film.
