What is a conditioning test and reliability test and what is the difference?

aging test

Aging test is a product life index test, it can also be said to be an accelerated life test, according to different conditions of different products, there can be different aging test programs and aging.

The natural service life of many products is relatively long. If you want to obtain information about its service life or endurance in use, you can only test it by accelerating its life rhythm. For example, the determination of the consumption and supplementary amount of additives is determined through the continuous kindling test, which is a kind of aging test.

reliability test

The reliability test is to verify the possible failure of the product due to changes in the use environment or use state during the process of storage, transportation and use after the completion of manufacture, so as to test the degree of reliability of the product against these changes. Reliability test is usually a group of tests, including aging test or life test, environmental test, such as anti-vibration or bump test, external line endurance test, three-proof test, environmental test, etc. Through reliability tests, various information related to product performance can be obtained, thereby providing important references for improving product design and production technology, strengthening quality management and process control, and evaluating product levels.

For different products, in order to achieve different purposes, different reliability test methods can be selected. There are many classification methods for reliability test:

  1. Divided by environmental conditions, it can be divided into simulation tests and field tests under various stress conditions ;

  2. Divided by test items, it can be divided into environmental test, life test, accelerated test and various special tests;

  3. If divided according to the purpose of the test, it can be divided into screening test, identification test and acceptance test;

  4. If it is divided according to the nature of the test, it can also be divided into two categories: air destructive test and non-destructive test.
