Application of reference materials in chemical inspection

1. Calibrate the chemical test instrument with K

Physical and chemical testing instruments and compositional analysis instruments, such as acidity meters, conductivity meters, chromatographs, etc., are all relative measuring instruments. Calibration is required during manufacture, that is, the specific value of the standard substance is used to determine the display value of the instrument.

2. For evaluation of chemical test methods

It is easier and more reliable to measure the recovery rate of the sample by using a standard substance with a composition similar to that of the sample to be tested with the same chemical testing method, which is more convenient and reliable than adding a simple pure product to determine the recovery rate.

3. Use as a working standard

Draw a working curve;   assign a value to the material.

4. Improve the precision of chemical testing in cooperative experiments

When conducting cooperative experiments in multiple laboratories, due to the different conditions of each laboratory, the data divergence of the cooperative experiments is relatively large. If the same standard substance is used, the correction value of the laboratory is obtained by using the guaranteed value of the standard substance and the actual measured value, so as to correct the respective data, which can improve the reproducibility of the determination between laboratories, thereby improving the precision.

5. Quality Assurance for Chemical Inspection

The quality control chart can be used to assess and evaluate the working quality of chemical testing workers and laboratories with reference materials, so that the determination results of the testing work of common tasks are under quality control.

6. Used to formulate chemical inspection standard methods

When formulating test methods for product quality supervision and inspection and technical arbitration, it is necessary to conduct comparative experiments on various methods, and use standard materials to evaluate the pros and cons of the methods. When formulating standard methods and product standards, in order to obtain reliable data, reference materials are used as working standards.
