What tests are required for Eletroplating?

The testing to be done in electroplating includes three categories: coating quality testing, bath performance testing and technology development testing. Coating quality inspection includes inspection of appearance, inspection of coating thickness, inspection of coating alloy composition and inspection of coating performance specified by the buyer or product design, etc. Among them, the properties of the coating include the distribution of the coating, various physical properties such as internal stress and brittleness, chemical and electrochemical properties such as corrosion resistance, and various functional properties required by special requirements .

The testing of the performance of the plating solution includes the detection of the content of the components of the plating solution, the detection of the physical and chemical properties of the plating solution, the detection of additives in the plating solution, the detection of impurities, the detection of the purity of the anode, the detection of environmental impact, etc.

In addition to some specified indicators in the first two types of testing, the technical development testing also needs to conduct tests and experiments on basic performance and mechanism discussion, including the role and behavior mechanism of various components in the plating solution, suitable for Determination of process parameters, basic tests of various electrochemical behaviors, such as cathode and anode polarization process tests, rotating disk electrode tests, microscopic electron microscope observations and other electrochemical and physical chemistry tests.
