2. Preparation process

In a three-neck flask equipped with a reflux condenser, a water separator, a stirrer and a thermometer, add other raw materials except glycidyl tertiary carbonate. Start stirring, heat up to (170±2)°C in 40 minutes, keep warm for 1 hour, add glycidyl tertiary carbonate, and then raise the temperature to (210±2)°C within 2~3 hours. Then take samples regularly to measure the acid value and viscosity. After passing the test, cool down to 80°C, add dilute solvent, filter, pack, and store.

High-solid polyester resin is mainly composed of trihydric alcohols. Due to the high branching, the paint film made of this polyester resin is hard and has good corrosion resistance and solvent resistance. The embedding of glycidyl ester of tertiary carbonic acid increases the wettability of the pigment and improves the flexibility and weather resistance. The polyester coating formulated with the high solid content polyester has good pigment dispersion stability. The paint was stored at 40°C for 3 months, showing moderate pigment deposits, which recovered easily after agitation.
