Pycnometer, which is a device that can measure the volume of glass or metal containers. A pycnometer can be used by simple weighing to measure the volume defined by the density and volume of a liquid. The pycnometer law can measure the density of liquid and solid polymerization degrees. The pycnometer method has the characteristics of simple operation, accurate measurement and good repeatability. This method is simpler and more economical than the density gradient method, and is less sensitive to temperature. Density is an important parameter of any substance. In research and practical application, this parameter is often required for further calculation and analysis related to density. Therefore, whether the method of measuring density is simple and has a certain degree of accuracy is an important factor in determining the value of the method. In the previous article, we have reported the determination of parameters such as the skeleton density of porous materials by the pycnometer method. On this basis, it is applied to determine the density of polymers and estimate the corresponding crystallinity. The experimental results show that this method is easy to operate, does not require special instruments, and has high accuracy, which can reflect the change of the density of polymers during processing, use and other physical treatments.
