Coating drying curing

Abstract: 涂料在涂覆到物体表面后,通过干燥固化过程形成固体涂膜,这一过程分为表面干燥(触干)和完全干燥(实干)两个阶段。干燥固化的效果直接影响涂膜的性能和外观。涂料的干燥固化方式主要包括溶剂挥发型、氧化聚合型、固化剂固化型和烘烤聚合型。干燥设备不仅对烘烤聚合型涂料有效,也能加速其他类型涂料的干燥固化。干燥方法分为自然干燥法和强制干燥法。自然干燥法依靠空气流通和阳光进行干燥,而强制干燥法通过加热烘烤设备来加速涂膜的干燥固化。

The coating is usually in a fluid state. When it is applied to the surface of the object, it is believed that a solid dry and hard coating film is formed. This process is called drying and curing. The process of drying and curing the paint on the surface of the coated object is the process of film formation.


The drying and curing of the coating film is divided into two stages: surface drying (touch drying) and complete drying (hard drying).


The quality of the drying and curing process of the coating film directly affects the performance of the coating film and the appearance of the coating surface.


There are many types of paints and coatings, and the composition of film-forming substances is also very wide. There are many ways to dry and form films. The general atmosphere is as follows:

(1) Solvent volatilization type (2) Oxidation polymerization type (3) Curing agent curing type (4) Baking polymerization type 


There are many equipment for drying and curing the coating film. The use of drying equipment is not only useful for baking polymeric coatings, but other types of paints can often accelerate the drying and curing of the coating film through baking.


Method of drying and curing coating film

Natural drying method


Put the painted products directly in a place with a large workshop, smooth air and sufficient sunshine, and use the natural air for drying, which is called the natural drying method


Forced drying method


The method of heating and baking the coating to make the coating film dry and solidify is the forced drying method. The general forced drying method requires the use of a heating baking device, that is, drying equipment.
