Two Golden Principles for Effective Viscometer Readings

The viscosity Detector is a digital display viscometer, and the motor drives the rotor to rotate at a constant speed through variable speed. When the rotor rotates in the liquid, the liquid will generate a viscous moment acting on the rotor, and the viscous moment will be larger; conversely, the smaller the viscosity of the liquid, the smaller the viscous moment. The viscous moment acting on the rotor is detected by the sensor, and the viscosity of the measured liquid is obtained after computer processing. Viscometer is widely used in mineral oil, lubricating oil, adhesive, paint, dye, ink dynamic viscosity, structural viscosity, grease, slurry, textile, food, drug, adhesive, cosmetics and other production industries and scientific research units.
Viscometers are widely used in laboratories, universities and research institutes. They mainly measure the viscosity parameters of specific fluid samples for research or application reference, such as in the field of lubricating oil research. After obtaining the basic information, by measuring the viscosity of a certain type of lubricating oil or its mixture, it can provide the basis for the customer or designer to provide the required pump design capacity.
In the process of using the viscosity Detector, how to determine the reading is the key. As a user, you should learn to select which data can be read from the data displayed by the viscosity Detector, and which data cannot be read, and the basic annual validity of the viscosity Detector The principle of judging the reading is: when reading the viscosity value, the torque percentage of the viscosity Detector must be between 10% and 100%.
1. If the torque percentage of the viscometer is lower than 10%, the reading of the viscometer at this time is invalid and cannot be read. As far as the digital display viscometer is concerned, the reading at this time will issue a warning, and the viscosity value data will always flash.
2. If the torque percentage of the viscometer is higher than 100%, the data measured by the viscometer at this time exceeds the measurement range (FSR). As far as the digital display viscometer is concerned, there is no data display, and the display at this time is EEEE.
In order to further improve the reading accuracy of the viscosity Detector, we need to pay attention to the following two requirements during operation:
1. When measuring different samples, it is necessary to keep the rotor clean and dry. 2. Avoid
air bubbles when the rotor is placed in the sample, otherwise the measured viscosity value will decrease. The way to avoid it is to put the rotor into the sample obliquely, and then install the rotor , the rotor cannot touch the cup wall and cup bottom, and the sample to be measured must not exceed the specified scale.
