The method of measurement is also an important factor. CO sensors can be located inside and outside the incubation chamber. External CO2 sensors are more complex and prone to failure. Conversely, a CO sensor for CO inside the Incubator is more accurate - as it requires direct measurement in the incubation chamber. Internal sensors need to be able to withstand the temperatures reached during hot air sterilization - but good products can already do this. Alternatively, it is possible and acceptable to use a plug-in sensor.

The slogan "less is more" really applies to the interior design of the CO 2 Incubator. The fewer corners, angles, shafts or screws, the better when it comes to preventing contamination.
