Paint film impact meter related testing standards

The so-called impact resistance refers to the ability of the paint film to undergo rapid deformation under the impact of a heavy hammer without cracking or falling off from the metal substrate. This test method is relatively simple to operate and has practical value. It is a representative method for characterization of the physical properties of paint films. Therefore, it is very important to correctly understand and implement the impact resistance test standard. At present, the more common impact resistance standards are: GB/T1732--1993 "Determination of Impact Resistance of Paint Films"; ASTMD2794-1993 (1999) "The Effect of Organic Coatings on Rapid Deformation (Shock)"; 1506272:1993 (E ) "Paints and Varnishes—Dropping Weight Test"; the fourth chapter "Impact Test" in GB/Tl Xipin 8-1992 "Test Methods for Color Coated Steel Sheets and Steel Strips"
