Measurement preparation

1. Make sure the correct tip is installed and the correct spring is placed

Steps

1. Release the red knob on the slider and set the slider to the desired position, then turn the red knob clockwise to fix it. (Note that the beveled edge of the slider indicates the correct position).


2. Place the Tester vertically on the surface to be tested, and press the holder firmly and lightly to create a load on the tip.


3. Move the Tester about 10mm over the surface. within a time limit of 1 second.


4. Observe the surface to check for visible marks
