Working principle of high shear hybrid emulsifier

The working head of the high-shear mixing and emulsifying machine is composed of a rotor capable of high-speed rotation and a fixed stator . The process of dispersing and emulsifying roughly carried out in the following four steps:

(1) When the rotor rotates at a high speed, a centrifugal force is generated, so that the pigment slurry in the middle part of the rotor is thrown out from the radial direction. The pigment slurry outside the working area is sucked into the working chamber axially from the upper and lower feeding areas of the working head .

(2) The strong centrifugal force throws the pigment slurry into the gap between the stator and the rotor in the radial direction . At the same time, it is subjected to centrifugal extrusion, impact and other forces to make the pigment paste preliminarily dispersed and emulsified.

(3) At the outer end of the high-speed rotating rotor, strong hydraulic shearing, tearing and collision to fully disperse, emulsify and break the pigment slurry, and then inject it through the stator slot.

(4) The pigment slurry is continuously ejected from the radial direction at high speed, and the pigment slurry changes its flow direction under the action of the container wall to form two turbulent liquid flows, which flow to the upper and lower feeding areas of the working head . After several cycles, the process of dispersion and emulsification is finally completed.
