If the amount of initiator is insufficient, the polymerization process will be slow, and the paint film will not cure for a long time, and sometimes it will take several days; on the contrary, if there is too much initiator, the curing will be rapid, and adverse consequences will easily occur; If it is too low, the paint film will shrink and wrinkle, and the surface quality will be poor; if there is too little styrene, it will not be fully cured. Adding acetone will make the paint film more brittle, prone to holes, lower adhesion and easy to crack and peel off. The peroxide initiator cannot be directly mixed with accelerators such as bad alkanoic acid zirconium. The initiator should be mixed thoroughly in the unsaturated polyol resin before adding the accelerator to avoid explosion accidents.
Oxygen is the polymerization inhibitor of unsaturated polycarbonate, therefore, its varnish film needs to be separated from oxygen. There are two types of waxy polyester paint and non-waxy polyester paint currently used in furniture coating. The wax type is to add high melting point paraffin to the paint. When the paint is painted on the wood surface, the paraffin is light and floats on the paint film to isolate the air. After the wax liquid is solidified, the paraffin wax remaining on the surface of the paint film must be removed with water sand, the process is complicated, and the brightness is worse than that of the non-wax type.
