What are the technical requirements for latex paint on synthetic resin emulsion?
(1) The appearance should be fine colloid, free of coarse particles and mechanical impurities, and light in color.
(2) Solid content should have solid content of practical significance. Generally speaking, the higher the solid content, the stronger the bonding ability.
(3) Although there are no rigid regulations for pH value and viscosity , there should be no significant difference between batches.
(4) The lower the residual monomer content, the better, and the usual regulation is not more than 0.5% (mass).
(5) Suitable minimum film forming temperature (MFT) and glass transition temperature (TR). Although it is determined by the designer of the emulsion, it should be clearly stated so that the designer of the paint can choose.
(6) Better pigment affinity and adhesion to the substrate .
(7) Excellent chemical stability , mechanical stability and dilution stability.
(8) Excellent low temperature stability .
(9) Low water absorption of the coating film .
(10) Excellent aging resistance.
