Underwater coating thickness measurement, the probe does not have any protection, so you can't just go deep underwater. Under normal circumstances, it is often necessary to measure the thickness of underwater coatings for underwater pipelines and ships, which requires the probe of the Thickness Gauge, and the probe of Defelsko can do it!

All PosiTector 6000 conventional stand-alone probes for Defelsko coating Thickness Gauges are suitable for underwater measurements and are available with extended cable lengths up to 250 ft/75 m. Ideal for measuring coating thickness on submerged pipelines, ships, bulkheads, offshore oil rigs or anywhere an extended range is required.

PosiTector 6000 probes are divided into different types according to the test function, and the applicable test depths are also different.

F (magnetic induction probe) (FS, FRS, FTS) - up to 75 m

N (eddy current probe) (NS, NAS, NRS) - up to 15 m

FN (magnetic induction/eddy current dual function) (FNS, FNRS, FNDS) - up to 15 m

Extended cable lengths are also available for ferrous microprobes (F0S, F45S, F90S) and FKS probes (thick coating) - up to 15 m.

NOTE: Microprobes and FKS probes are not supported for underwater use.

Defelsko's coating Thickness Gauge can basically meet the underwater thickness measurement, but only the probe can go deep into the water, and the host cannot be immersed in water. If it is necessary to enter the underwater thickness measurement of the whole machine, there are other thickness measurement schemes in the North and South Tide, and you can communicate with the technical engineer.
