The physical and chemical process of coating from fluid layer to solid coating film is called drying; the time of drying process is called drying time. The drying time of paint products must be known when they leave the factory and when they are constructed . The drying process of the coating film can be divided into surface drying and actual drying, and the determination method is as follows:
① Gently place the absorbent cotton ball on the coating film, and gently blow the cotton ball along the horizontal direction with your mouth at a distance of 1o~15m from the cotton ball. Surface dry.
②Touch the surface of the paint film lightly with your fingers. If you feel a little sticky, but no paint sticks to your fingers, the surface is considered to be dry.
① If the paint film can be scraped off on the sample board with a safety blade, and there is no sticking phenomenon at the bottom of the paint film, it is considered that the paint film has actually dried.
②Put a piece of paper or a cotton ball on the paint film, gently place a dry weight with a base area of 1 square centimeter and a weight of 200 grams on it, remove it after 30 seconds, and turn the sample over (paint film down), the filter paper or cotton ball can fall freely, and leave no fiber traces and no loss of gloss, which is considered to have reached the actual dryness.
