How to inspect Color and Appearance?

The color and appearance of the paint film are an important index to identify the decorative performance of the paint. Generally, it is compared with the standard model visually, and the art paint is identified according to its pattern. Methods as below:

(1) According to HG2-504-74 "Painting Inspection Method" and "Paint Film Preparation Method", paint the sample and the For standard samples, the uniformity and thickness of the brushing should be consistent. The thickness of the coating film is limited to completely cover the bottom plate. Then dry it according to the product standard. After the paint film is hard-dried, cover the joint part, and check its color and appearance according to the product standard under natural scattered light. If there is no significant difference in color between the sample and the standard sample, it is considered to be in compliance Technical tolerance range. The appearance should be smooth, free of skin, wrinkles, air bubbles, cracks, etc., or inspected according to product standards.

(2) For the sample prepared according to HG2-504-74 method, after the paint film is hard-dried, compare the product standard with two standard samples to check the color appearance, if the color is between the two standard samples, it is considered to meet the tolerance scope.
