Drying equipment - car painting equipment

Drying equipment mainly refers to drying equipment. There are many types of drying equipment used in automobile painting. Domestically used drying equipment such as natural convection drying room, circulating air convection drying room, far-infrared radiation drying room, electric heating drying room, steam heating drying room , Fuel heating drying room, photo-curing and electron beam drying room, and infrared baking lamps and other drying equipment, while foreign countries mostly use electric heating drying room, superheated steam drying room, photo-curing and electron beam drying room, etc.

The drying equipment used in domestic automobile repairs, color changes and refurbishment coatings are mainly two types of drying equipment, infrared drying chambers and infrared baking lamps.

①The infrared drying chamber is constructed by using silicon carbide tubes, silicon carbide plates, infrared radiation elements, etc. as heat sources. It is characterized by fast heating, uniform temperature, clean, and the temperature can reach!, - . above, the radiation element has good temperature resistance, long service life, large radiation area, and the radiated heat is to dry the coating from the inside to the outside of. Therefore, the coating will not cause bubbling due to the surface layer drying first during the drying process. But this kind of drying room has a large investment and high cost, and is mainly suitable for coating drying of large and medium-sized automobiles.

② Infrared baking lamps use the heat energy radiated by tungsten filament lamps such as 250 watts, 500 watts, and 1000 watts to dry the coating. Its advantages are small size, easy to move, the temperature can reach 100-120 ℃, which is especially effective for drying partial paint film, and the temperature is easy to control (temperature can be adjusted), baking is clean, good quality, and less investment. However, it consumes a lot of power, and the service life of the bulb (tube) is short, so it needs to be replaced frequently. It is mainly used for drying the coating of the car's partial repair and spraying, such as the putty layer, the intermediate paint layer, the top coat layer, etc.

At present, there are many kinds of infrared baking lamps on the market, and the models are different. When purchasing, you can choose reasonably according to the practical situation. However, drying with a baking lamp will inevitably increase the cost of painting, so it is recommended to dry naturally after repainting in spring, summer and autumn in order to reduce the cost of painting.

③Usage of infrared drying equipment When using an infrared drying room for coating drying, different drying temperatures and drying times should be used according to different coatings, such as alkyd paint coatings, the drying temperature should be 60-80 °, the appropriate drying time is 30-40 minutes; for acrylic polyurethane paint coating, the appropriate drying temperature is 60-70 °, the appropriate drying time is 40-60 minutes, in case the baking temperature is too high High or too long paint film produces bubbling or discoloration. However, for the drying of various putty coatings, such as water-based putty coatings, the drying temperature should not be lower than 100°C, such as 2-3mm thick coatings, should be dried at a temperature of 100-120°C. The appropriate time is 30-40 minutes. When drying, first heat up to 120°C for 30 minutes, and then heat up to 120°C for 10 minutes. Don’t bake at 120°C all at once, otherwise the surface will dry first and be damaged. Close the inner layer, so that the moisture in the inner layer evaporates rapidly to generate stress and push up the surface layer to form bubbling, but the temperature of 100-120°C is only suitable for baking the coating of parts or the shell coating of new cars, for the whole car with chassis Cars cannot be baked at a temperature of 100-120°C, so as not to damage the tires or instruments. Another point that should be noted is that the irradiation shadow of infrared drying equipment is serious, so it is difficult to make the irradiation distance uniform for workpieces with complex geometric shapes. The paint film at a distance is prone to drying and ineffective phenomenon, so attention should be paid.

When using an infrared baking lamp for drying, the temperature of the baking lamp and the distance between the baking lamp and the surface of the object to be baked should be mastered. For example, the temperature of the baking lamp is 60-70 ℃. -0.6 meters is appropriate. If the temperature reaches 80-100°C, the distance should be between 0.8-1.0 meters. If it exceeds 100°C, the baking lamp needs to be placed 1 meter away to prevent the paint film from being scorched or causing Blistering and discoloration of the paint film. Therefore, during the baking process of the partial repair coating, the temperature should be continuously checked or measured to prevent rework caused by excessive baking.

④Maintenance of drying equipment Chamber drying equipment is usually equipped with a circulating air device (that is, an air supply and exhaust device), so it needs to be cleaned before each use, such as the dust on the surface of the structural wall panels on both sides , especially the dust accumulated on the plane and corners, it should be cleaned repeatedly. Then wipe off the floating dust with a damp cloth. For the indoor floor, it should be cleaned first and then mopped repeatedly with a wet mop before use, so as not to blow the dust up and contaminate the paint film during use and affect the quality. For the traditional equipment of the chamber drying equipment, lubricating oil should be added frequently to maintain normal lubrication, so as to avoid damage to the equipment due to bearing wear. For small drying equipment such as baking lamps, check whether the parts are loose before each use, whether the bulb or lamp is powered normally, and repair it in time if there is any abnormality. After use, wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth for maintenance.
