What do we need to know about aging ovens?

Aging ovens heat plastic and rubber products to artificially age them to simulate years of use. Many industries also use these to test and finish aluminum parts. While they are desirable for many industries, it is normal to have questions about how these impressive machines work.

Use aging ovens to determine how plastic and rubber parts age over time. Instead of waiting in real time, designers can drop items into them and artificially simulate how they break through natural wear and tear. In other words, they were able to speed up the aging process so they could learn where the product needed to be improved. In this heat treatment, aluminum or an aluminum alloy is heated slowly at low temperatures to increase its strength. In this way, aluminum pieces become more durable and long-lasting. Aluminum aging furnaces are required in many industries to artificially age and strengthen aluminum parts.

All Industrial Ovens require good airflow from the supply air duct to the return air duct. Otherwise, your oven won't heat evenly. In other words, you will have hot and cold spots in your oven that will affect the results. If you test products to see how they age, this will affect the results of your research and affect future product development. One of the benefits of working with us is that we'll make sure your oven's loading configuration matches the correct airflow. For example, you need perfectly level airflow to consistently heat an oven with solid racks. This allows air to pass over and under your shelves.
