Cyclic Corrosion Testing and Applicable Standards

Abstract: 循环腐蚀试验(CCT)是一种加速测试涂层耐老化性能的方法,相较于传统的盐雾试验,它能更准确地评估涂层的耐蚀性。CCT测试模拟了包括温度变化、紫外线照射、冻结、干湿交替和盐雾等多种腐蚀环境,以全面评估涂料体系的性能。与盐雾试验使用的5% NaCl或人工海水相比,ASTM D 5894标准中的氯化钠和硫酸铵混合溶液则更贴近工业和陆地腐蚀环境。不同的实验机构开发了各自的CCT测试方法,以满足具体的腐蚀测试需求。

In order to better test the aging resistance of coatings, an accelerated cyclic corrosion test (CCT) was developed. Compared with the traditional salt spray test, the cyclic corrosion test can more accurately reflect the corrosion resistance of the coating. Different independent experimental institutions have developed different CCT test methods to reflect the influence of temperature, ultraviolet radiation, freezing, alternating wet and dry, salt spray and other corrosive environments, and to test the performance expectations of the complete coating system.

The salt spray test uses 5% NaCl or artificial seawater as the electrolyte, which is closer to the marine environment, while the mixed solution of sodium chloride and ammonium sulfate in ASTM D 5894 is closer to the industrial and land corrosive environment.
