Three minutes, teach you how to properly calibrate the acidity meter

The "p" in "pH" comes from the German "Potenz", which means concentration. According to Nernst's law, the instrument that uses the electromotive force (EMF) between the two electrodes of the primary battery to measure the pH value of the solution can be divided into different types of pH meters according to the measurement accuracy, instrument volume and use requirements. Note that in the process of determining the pH value, factors such as the ionic strength and temperature of the measured solution should be considered.

Operation steps (Take 4.00PH standard solution as an example to perform three-point calibration)

• Standard solution pH value: 4.00PH, 6.86PH, 9.18PH

• Before calibration, it is necessary to unscrew the cap of the pen to clean the electrode. After washing, shake it slightly and wipe it with filter paper. The cleaning steps of the temperature electrode can be analogized by analogy.

• Place the electrode in the standard solution, shake it slightly, and wait for the instrument value to stabilize.
  

• After the value is stable, tap the calibration button on the screen. The upper part of the calibration page displays "calibration status", and the lower part displays "potential" and "actual temperature of standard solution".

• When the calibration status changes from red to green, click the OK button, which means one-point calibration is completed.

• Take the electrode out of the standard solution and clean it.

• When performing two-point calibration and three-point calibration, replace different standard solutions and perform the above operations.
