The choice of exterior wall paint needs to consider the decorative and economical properties of the paint:
The decoration and durability of exterior wall paint mainly consider the color retention, water resistance, scrub resistance, stain resistance and weather resistance of the coating film. From the perspective of actual use, styrene-acrylic latex paint and acrylic polyurethane modified acrylic solvent paint are better. They are characterized by water resistance and alkali resistance, scrub resistance (related instruments: scrub resistance instrument), stain resistance, and weather resistance. In addition to the paint factor, the color retention problem has a lot to do with the pigment.
At present, some pigments in paints have poor resistance to outdoor discoloration, especially the red powder of some organic pigments, which are particularly prone to discoloration outdoors. Iron oxide-based pigments, carbon black, titanium dioxide, etc. have good resistance to discoloration outdoors and are not easy to fade, and European green organic pigments have better resistance to discoloration outdoors. Therefore, these pigments with better weather resistance should be selected to prepare exterior wall coatings. In addition, don't choose too bright colors when choosing exterior wall paint. Too bright colors are too dazzling. And it is easy to change color, and it is not resistant to pollution.
For economical issues, we can evaluate the economical efficiency by referring to the coating cost calculation formula proposed by an American company:
