1. Measurement of pH value
1) First measure the temperature of the solution with a thermometer (PHB-4 with temperature electrode can automatically detect the temperature);
2) Press the increase key ∧ or decrease key ∨ to adjust the temperature value of the instrument accurately;
3) Clean the electrode of the pH meter and put it into the solution, stir it a little, then place it still, read when the measured value is stable, and the obtained reading is the pH value.
2. Measurement of mV value
1) First switch the pH meter to the "mV" position.
2) Connect the ORP electrode or ion electrode (need to be purchased separately), insert it into the solution to be measured, place it still, and read when the measured value is stable. The obtained reading is the ORP value or the potential value of the ion electrode.
Qiwei PHB-1 pH Tester has a built-in intelligent chip, which can be automatically calibrated at one point, two points or three points. There are three situations: if the measurement accuracy is ≤0.1pH, you only need to use a pH buffer solution for a little calibration; if the measurement range is only in the acidic range (≤7pH), you can choose pH7 and pH4 calibration; if the measurement range is only in the alkali pH range (≥7pH), you can choose pH7 and pH10 calibration; if the measurement range is relatively wide, or if the pH electrode has been used for a long time and there is aging phenomenon, you should choose three-point calibration, which will make the measurement accuracy higher, the first use For the pH electrode, a three-point calibration is required to adjust the slope of the PHB-1 pH meter to be consistent with the pH electrode.
