Introduction

JFL pencil Hardness Tester is a pencil Hardness Tester designed and manufactured in strict accordance with GB/T5739-1996 for measuring the hardness of paint film. According to different test requirements, three weights of 500g, 750g and 1000g are produced, and the corresponding models are respectively For QHQ-A (500g), QHQ-A  (750g), QHQ-A (1000g).

JFL QHQ-A (500g) / (750g) / (1000g) Pencil Hardness Tester is a mechanical structure design, which touches the surface to be tested through two wheels and three points of the pen core, and the pen core remains in contact with the test coating surface Make an angle of 45 degrees, and measure the hardness value of the paint film by pushing the Hardness Tester.

Note: This pencil Hardness Tester corresponds to a single weight. If you need a pencil Hardness Tester with three weights, please contact customer service.

Pencil Hardness Test Requirements

1. Test sample: Use smooth tinplate, the specification can be 120*50*(0.2-0.3) mm or other specifications, prepared according to GB1279-79 "General Preparation Method of Paint Film".

2. Pencil refill requirements: use a pencil sharpener to sharpen the pencil until the cylindrical lead core is exposed 5-6mm (do not loosen or scratch the refill), hold the refill so that it is 90 degrees from the "NO: 400" sandpaper surface ° included angle, and keep circling on the sandpaper to rub the end face of the refill until a lead lead with a flat end face and sharp edges is obtained (the edge must not be broken or notched).

The pencil should be rotated 180° after each use, or re-sharpened before use.

Test Methods

1) Put the QHQ-A (500g) / (750g) / (1000g) pencil Hardness Tester on a flat work surface, and place the pad on the lower part of the Hardness Tester.

2) Insert the pencil sharpened according to the requirements into the main hole of the pencil Hardness Tester, the edge of the pencil touches the workbench, and tighten the screw.

3) Put the QHQ-A (500g) / (750g) / (1000g) pencil Hardness Tester on the test board to be tested, and apply force at a speed of about 1mm per second (this force is about to break the edge of the lead core or plow damage to the coating) advance the pencil Hardness Tester.

4) Starting from the hardest pencil, plow five 3mm-long traces with each level of pencil until a pencil that does not plow the coating film is found. The hardness of this pencil represents the pencil hardness of the measured coating film.
