Quickly and easily detect air and water leaks in building envelopes and rigid air barrier systems. Ideal for testing penetration (fasteners, masonry, etc.) and continuity of joints and joints in rigid air barrier systems.

Operating Principle

The portable manual PosiTest AIR Leak Tester tests the air barrier integrity of single, double, and liquid membrane systems, including air barriers, roof systems, waterproofing, and floor underlayments, by locating leaks.

In accordance with ASTM E1186, PosiTest AIR will indicate if there is a leak in the test area. This is a simple pass/fail test.

1. Apply the PosiTest AIR test solution to the test area

2. Place the clean test room on the test area

3. Start the test (decompression chamber)

4. Store test results (optional)

PosiTest AIR's internal memory stores up to 200 test results, which can be transferred to a PC using PosiSoft Desktop Software. The test results include the rate of decompression, differential pressure limit, duration, and pass/fail conclusion entered by the user
