Introduction

Applications

Elcometer 106 Pull-Off Adhesion Tester is suitable for paint or bridge deck spraying, coatings on steel, aluminium, concrete, and more.

Test Method:

1) The forging die is glued to the coating. 106 exerts force to the forging die through the internal spring to lift, and the pulling force increases.

2) When the coating is pulled away from the surface, the indicator on the dial shows the value of adhesion, expressed as the force exerted to pull the dolly per unit area.

3) To determine the type of failure, the forging die face needs to be inspected.

4) To provide sensitivity at low values or on uneven surfaces, a 40mm (1.52") dolly can be used. Divide by 4 with a scale reading when using.
