The Model 312 Conical Shaft Flexure Tester complies with a variety of test standards.
Test Principle:The tapered shaft flexure Tester is used to determine the maximum tapered shaft diameter of the coating at the surface crack after bending.
The Model 312 Shaft Flexure Tester is a compact, rugged instrument made of enamelled steel for bench use. The tapered shaft and the shaft rod parallel to the surface of the tapered shaft are made of stainless steel. The clamping device is equipped with an eccentric rod to ensure that sample changes are quick and easy.
Precautions
A sheet of paper can be inserted between the sample and the pressure roll to avoid scratches on sensitive paint surfaces. Smoothly rotate the bending rod around the axis in about 2~3 seconds to bend the sample, and then check for the cracking of the coating. The test results are described as the length from the end of the thin shaft to the rupture or the shaft diameter at the end of the rupture. The shaft diameter in inches can be converted by the scale on the clamping device and the table below.
