It is especially suitable for manufacturers of coatings and uses, as well as manufacturers who often need to visually evaluate colors and surfaces.
The new ELRIX 425 MC microcomputer-controlled color comparison box is used to check the color of coatings on different materials and evaluate the color matching conditions, color and gloss. If carried out under constant and fixed conditions, one
Visual color comparisons are objective. For example, use lighting that is defined as standard and is not affected by external light sources.
The 425 MC also meets the requirements for monitoring, measurement and test equipment control. It displays the number of hours the light source has been operated and the number of times the light source has been switched on and off.
Design and function:
The 425 MC consists of a metal sheet with a standard coating on the inner wall and an open front end.
Three standard light sources are available: D65, A, and TL84, and a UV light source can be added to identify whether a sample is fluorescent. The light source of the light box complies with DIN 6173 and DIN 53 218.
It is used to detect an area of not less than 30×40 cm. You can switch between these three light sources in any order, automatically at programmed intervals, or manually.
Because no lighter is used, there is no flickering when the lamp is lit.
The control panel with a thin keypad and LCD display (2×20 characters) allows the operator to control the instrument automatically or manually. The actual mode is indicated by LEDs.
The manual operation is very simple: press the corresponding key and select the desired light source. The combination of light sources is preset in auto mode, and the relevant time interval (2-15) can be set automatically. The programming of the automatic test mode can be seen by the indication on the display.
In the test mode, the illumination time and the number of conversion cycles for each light source can be demonstrated, making it easy to monitor the quality of the light source.

To avoid light spots on high-gloss samples, choose a filter.
To evaluate the gloss, color, and color conditions of a range of samples at a specific angle, we offer a rotating sample stage. This is particularly suitable for evaluating defects in metallic paints.
