Minimum film forming temperature Tester

It refers to the minimum temperature at which the resin emulsion forms a continuous and uniform film without cracks under gradient heating and drying conditions.

Its main structure is a metal gradient plate, and the two ends of the gradient plate are respectively provided with a cooling source and a heating source. Through the principle of metal heat conduction, different temperature gradients are generated on the metal plate. Coat a wet film of emulsion or compound dispersion with uniform thickness on the temperature gradient plate, dry the sample with dry air flow, and the sample is affected by the temperature on the gradient plate to form a film based on moisture.

Due to the different temperature on the gradient plate, the position of the film formation of the sample is also different. Find the junction point where the continuous transparent film and the white opaque (unpolymerized) are formed . The temperature corresponding to this point on the gradient plate can be obtained from the screen display. The temperature is is the minimum film-forming temperature of the sample.
