RK wire rods are used to apply precise, repeatable surface coatings to most substrates. Rice bars are manufactured by winding precision drawn stainless steel wire onto a stainless steel rod, creating a pattern of identically shaped grooves, with the wet film thickness accurately controlled by the size of these grooves. The closed wound rod can apply coating thicknesses from 4 to 120 μm. Spiral wound wire rods can be applied with higher thickness coatings up to 500μm.
The British RK coater K303 has a coating area of ââ700x420mm. This coater wire bar is specially used for the K303 coater.
