Introduction

Pencil hardness test, which uses graphite pencils with different hardness values to evaluate the hardness of the coating.

Sophisticated design ensures that the cylindrical lead remains at a constant 45° angle with constant pressure.

The minimum hardness value of the pencil that can leave marks on the coating determines the hardness level of the coating.

Instructions

Insert the sharpened pencil into the inclined hole of the trolley, and tighten the fixing screws to keep the trolley basically level. Put the trolley on the prepared sample, pinch the center of the wheel with two fingers, push it forward at a speed of 0.5mm/s, make the tip of the pen scratch the surface of the coating film, and judge the hardness of the coating film according to pencils of different hardness. The specific judgment method is carried out according to the provisions of the GB/T6739-2006 standard.
