Introduction

Equipment internationally approved for coating hardness evaluation. This test consists of measuring the damping time of the pendulum oscillating on the test surface. Hardness is a function of vibration amplitude and is detected by an electron-optical unit from 2 specified pendulum deflection positions. It lowers faster on softer media.

200 g triangle pendulum on 2 x 5 mm ball bearings.

Glass Plate Reference:250±10s. (172 to 185 oscillations) with a deflection angle of 6° to 3°.

Pasoz

The 500 gram square pendulum is mounted on 2 x 8 mm ball bearings.

Glass Plate Reference:430±10 s with a deflection angle of 12° to 4°
